I earned a Bachelor of Arts in both Psychology and Film from Wayne State University in 1991. I worked in both fields before discovering photography, and than I was hooked! I then took even more classes - in photography - and found myself spending entire days in the darkroom. I couldn't get enough of it! I started shooting everything... boy, did I go through the film! Then I got pregnant and my darkroom days were over. (The chemicals) Then I had my daughter and they were really over. (no time) But I couldn't help myself - she was my new subject. (Thank goodness for Costco's cheap one hour processing!) I realized that I loved taking photos of her... and they were very good. I saw how quickly she grew and changed and was so happy to have the photos of her throughout that change. And I started taking photos of friends' children and pregnancies and realized that this is what I love to do. I found something where I could work with people, make them happy, and create. Photography is great. I love it!

Capturing your favorite picture is my inspiration. Never was I so inspired until the time I started photographing pregnant women, children and newborns. I feel that they are the most precious and important subjects. With me, there are no time constraints, no stiff poses and no bright lights. I work with you and your child's schedule. I feel that your home is the best place to get the most natural and relaxed images. I can also meet on location in beautiful settings for the older child.

Now enough about me...
